On April 10th 2018 at the international airport « Boryspil» the festive events were organaized due to the turning up of the new air company at the Ukrainian air space.
«Iraqi Airlines» company carried out he first flight on the air route Baghdad-Kyiv and started not only the direct air connection between the capitals of the friendly countries but also a new period in the bilateral Ukrainian-Iraqi.
The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Ukraine H.E. Mister Bakir Ahmad Aziz Al-Jaf in his greeting speech congratulated the Ukrainians with the holiday of the Easter and emphasized that since this day Iraq and Ukraine became more close to each other and because of it the ties of the friendship that unite our nations will get stronger.
«Iraq, the country of the ancient culture and of the ancient civilization has been liberated from the terrorists completely. Iraq is opened for the world and first of all – for Ukraine» – Mister Ambassador said.
In his turn, The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine in Republic of Iraq Viktor Nedopas, who arrived to Ukraine with the first flight of Iraqi Airlines mentioned in his speech that –
«Still in the November of the last year the Minister of Transport promised to realize the direct air traffic between our capitals and as you can the promise has transformed into the reality».
Also, Mister Ambassador pointed out in his speech that the new air route would open the new possibilities for Ukrainian and Iraqi business people because the way from Kyiv to Baghdad had became shorter.
The Director for the development of the development of international activity of the Boryspil Airport Maxim Voloshyn said to sum up this important event that the turning up of the eldest Middle East air company in Ukraine is a very important thing for both states.
«Iraqi Airlines has been renovated after the hard times ant their net of flights throughout the worІd has been renovated either and we are very glad that this net includes Kyiv and Ukraine» – Mister Voloshyn said.
The representative of the company « Iraqi Airlines» Al-Hausi Mahmud As-Safa thanked the international Boryspil Airport for assistance. «Iraqi people kindly call their air company The Green Bird and we want The Green Bird to fly to Ukraine as much as possible» – Mister As-Safa said and stressed that the company would do all the best to make each flight safe and comfortable for every passenger.
