The Museum of Ukrainian gramophone records opened on the Singing Field in Kyiv. It is located at the address of st. Lavrska, 41.
This is reported by the Department of Culture of the KMDA.
It is regrettable that the location of the museum was not chosen by chance. After all, the stage of the Singing Field is a sacred place for Ukrainian musicians. Many Ukrainian stars took their first steps in art right here.
“The exposition of the museum tells about the history of gramophone records. The collection consists of more than 400 units of the main fund of Ukrainian music on various sound media,” – the Official Portal of Kyiv notes.
It is known that the initiative to create the museum belongs to its director Ivan Moskalenko (DJ Derbastler), who is one of the pioneers of the Ukrainian electronic scene. The idea of form and content was given to Fedir Balandin, a well-known cultural explorer and director of the Kyiv City Center of Folk Art and Cultural Studies. The main scientific consultant of the museum was the well-known Kyiv expert and researcher Mykhailo Kalnytskyi.
The Museum of Ukrainian Grampis is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 12:00 to 18:00, admission is free.
