On January 17, 2020, Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Israel to Ukraine Joel Lyon.
The sides discussed bilateral cooperation in the transport sector, in particular in aviation and road construction sectors, implementation of intelligent systems and creation of digital transport corridors. A special emphasis was placed on airport security.
The Minister of Infrastructure stressed that Ukraine is interested in studying best practices of Israel, which has one of the best security systems in the world.
Vladyslav Kryklii briefed the Ambassador of Israel on the concession projects planned to be launched this year, road reconstruction plans and the development of security infrastructure. Joel Lyon commended the attention the Minister of Infrastructure is paying to implementing digital solutions in infrastructure and expressed hope for enhanced cooperation between Israel and Ukraine.
