“Ukrposhta” presented a stamp for the Independence Day of Ukraine. It depicts the monument “Motherland”, renamed “Ukraine-mother”.
“This is our format for changing contexts and rethinking. Replacing the Soviet coat of arms with the Ukrainian trident is fundamentally one of them. Maybe it will be followed by a name change – from “Motherland-Mother” to the more appropriate “Ukraine-Mother”. But we don’t plan to wait. – it’s our nature to predict!”, the company’s message states.
The author of the stamp, artist Zinaida Kubar, depicted the monument in a red necklace and a trident on a shield.
The brand is now available for reorder. In general, it has a circulation of 600,000 copies and a denomination of U (the cost of sending a non-priority simple letter up to 50 grams within Ukraine).
