German Chancellor Olaf Scholz arrived in Israel on a solidarity visit.

The chancellor held talks with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, President Yitzhak Herzog, relatives of the German hostages of Hamas militants who were taken to the Gaza Strip and received information about the situation in the war zone. In addition, Scholz wants to talk about how to prevent further escalation in the region. In the evening he has to leave for Egypt.
It is also noted that before the departure, Scholz warned the authorities of Iran, as well as the Lebanese radical movement “Hezbollah”, supported by Tehran, against interfering in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
