Miss Universe for the first time in many years, was the Europeans

The final of one of the most respected in the world of beauty pageants – Miss Universe 2016 title of most beautiful girl in the universe received a 23-year-old Iris Mittenaar – the representative of France. This is the first time in 27 years, when the crown of Miss Universe participant receives from Europe (the representative of the Netherlands won in 1990).

Crown winners of the new beauty queen has received from the hands of Miss Universe 2015 Filipina Pia Wurzbach.
Iris Mittenaar bypassed beauties from 87 countries from around the world. She is studying to be a dentist and is interested in extreme sports: hang-gliding, bungee jumping, skydiving.
This is only the second French victory in the Miss Universe contest. The first Frenchwoman managed to get the title 63 years ago, and this is the longest period between victories in the history of the competition.
First runner-up was the representative of Haiti, the second – Miss Colombia. The top six also included Kenya, the Philippines, Thailand.

The representative of Ukraine – Alain Spodynyuk unfortunately not won a prize in the contest of Miss Universe 2016, but represented our country with dignity.
