British Ambassador Melinda Simmons is completing her four-year mission in Ukraine. The woman recorded a farewell address in Ukrainian before returning to Britain.
Melinda Simmons posted a farewell video for Ukrainians on her Twitter.
“I am proud that we were together in these difficult times. Ukraine will win, and we will definitely meet again,” the British ambassador notes, and assures that London will continue to support Ukraine.
The day before that, she received a “key to Ukraine” with a keychain in the form of a Patron dog as a parting gift from the State Emergency Service.
In memory of her, a new specialty croissant was created in one of the coffee shops and named after Melinda Simmons.
