The authorities of Moldova are considering the option of the country joining the European Union without the territory of the left bank of the Dniester, which is not currently under its control. In this case, the country will continue to look for ways to resolve the Transnistrian conflict after joining the EU.

This is reported by NewsMaker, referring to the comment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this country notes that the left bank of the Dniester is a constituent part of the Republic of Moldova. Chisinau seeks a peaceful settlement of the Transnistrian conflict in order to join the EU as a reintegrated country.
