Due to the unauthorized use of the “radio stop” signal, passenger trains were stopped in four regions of Poland.
In Poland, on August 29, unknown persons stopped 25 passenger trains by affecting the radio signal. As DW notes with reference to the spokesperson of the state company “Polish Railways”, trains are stopped during movement in four regions. These events did not affect the safety of passengers, only created a delay of 7 minutes.
In turn, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna explains that in Polish trains radio equipment works without encryption. And therefore, a sequence of signals at a certain frequency is able to stop trains.
This is not the first hacker attack on a Polish railway tower in the past few days.
