The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine held a meeting of the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Bohdan Drapyaty with the Azerbaijani delegation led by the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Ukraine Seymour Mardaliev. The size of the aid package to Ukraine was increased.
This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.
It is noted that the topic of negotiations was the issue of humanitarian demining of Ukraine, as well as the assistance of official Baku in this direction.
Bohdan Drapyatyi informed Seymour Mardaliyev about the consequences of Russian aggression, thanked Azerbaijan for its help and talked about demining the territories of Ukraine.
“First of all, the demining of the de-occupied territories is carried out. Representatives of the National Police are the first to enter these settlements and carry out operational demining. We are doing everything to ensure livelihoods, and citizens were able to return to their homes,” said Bohdan Drapyaty.
Also, the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs emphasized the need for assistance in providing equipment, namely, mechanized demining machines, whose one-day work will replace 100 days of work by sappers.
Therefore, Azerbaijan decided to increase the size of the aid package to Ukraine. As explained on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, there are four areas of cooperation in which official Baku is ready to help us: medical and psychological rehabilitation for Ukrainian children who suffered as a result of the Russian invasion, rehabilitation of military personnel, assistance in the energy sector and post-war reconstruction of Ukraine. The parties also discussed the organization of future trainings on the territory of Azerbaijan for the exchange of experience in the issue of humanitarian demining.
