Irish Prime Minister Leo Varadkar arrived in Ukraine on an official visit.
This was reported by European Pravda, referring to the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
It is known that he visited Bucha together with the Prosecutor General of Ukraine Andrii Kostin.
Kostin noted that Ukraine has 2 goals: to stop Russian aggression and to put an end to impunity of the aggressor country for international crimes.
First of all, he visited the sites of several atrocities committed in the first weeks of the Russian invasion. After that, Leo Varadkar met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, to show solidarity with the people of Ukraine.
“I am here to express Ireland’s solidarity with the government and people of Ukraine, who have been suffering from Russian attacks for more than 500 days,” Varadkar said before the meeting with the President of Ukraine.
After negotiations with President Volodymyr Zelenskyi during his visit to Kyiv, the Irish Prime Minister promised to support Ukraine as long as necessary.
As European Pravda writes, the Prime Minister of Ireland will also visit the Theater named after him while in Kyiv. Lesya Ukrainka and will meet with the actors of the play “Translations by Brian Friel”, who recently presented this work at the Abbey Theater in Dublin, as well as with Irish people and business representatives working in Ukraine.
