On January 17, 2018, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Slovenia Mykhailo F. Brodovych participated in briefing, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, headed by State Secretary Andrej Logar.
During the meeting it was highlighted the main priorities of the Slovenian presidency at the UN Human Rights Council.
In particular, it was noted that considerable attention would be paid to the implementation of EU priorities, the protection of the rights of children and the aged, gender equality, the fight against all forms of discrimination.
According to Andrej Logar, Slovenia will try to establish links between Geneva and New York, between the UN Human Rights Council and the 3rd Committee, in order to increase the efficiency of the abovementioned institutions in the field of human rights protection.
