On January 26 there was a charity evening “From Heart to Heart” to raise funds to help elderly people living alone and the institutions they live in.
Restaurant O’GOROD and the National TV beauty and talent contest “Queen of Ukraine” held a solemn charity evening “From Heart to Heart”. All proceeds will go to help lonely elderly people and institutions they live in. The event, held on 26 January, was embellished with a collection display from designer Oksana Polonets and speeches of star guests: LYUBIMOV, Darina Ilvovskaya, ANNA D, Lavika, Natalia Papazoglu.
But the main was an auction this evening, where lots of handmade were presented from the participants of TV project “Queen of Ukraine 2017”: the icon of Blessed Virgin of Perpetual Help made of amber; Beaded averter; an old family relic – rushnyk; painting created by the pupils of the orphanage; jewelry, dolls motanki and others.
A designer Oksana Polonets and showbiz stars ONUKA, Alexander Skichko, Palmyra KievElektro, Andreas, MamaRika, ANNA D presented their lots too.
The winners of the festival “Mini Miss Ukraine” together with an artist Kate Mosquito prepared hand-made painting, which became the final lot of the auction.
The owner of the restaurant O’GOROD had an idea of a charity evening very spontaneously during a normal conversation, though it was in the pre-Christmas time. Exactly this festive hour inspired Anna Naden to initiate charitable activities to help the elderly.
– Together with the co-workers we were discussing that at this time everybody commonly becomes activate and begins to help children. Yes, of course, it is necessary, but we came to the conclusion that the elderly are always forgotten. But they gave us life. We decided to do as we have been taught – to start with ourselves – recalls how it all began Anna.
In total the evening collected 25 lots that were successfully sold due to the showmasters Monroe Lavika and Costa Rica. And the outcome of the evening was the awarding of the title “Queen of Charity 2017”. This title went to a participant of the contest “Queen of Ukraine 2017” Katerina Reshetnikova from Melitopol. Her lot – personally embroidered beaded icon of Blessed Virgin of Kazan – was sold for a record price.
All the proceeds collected during the charity evening will be used to improve the conditions of elderly people:
