In Kyiv, on September 29, the memory of the victims of the mass shootings of people by the Nazis in the Babyn Yar tract in 1941-1943 was commemorated. It has been 82 years since the beginning of the tragedy.

As noted by the newspaper “Farmer Pridnestrovya”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine noted the following in its commentary on this date: “During the next few years, in the period from 1941 to 1943, about 100 thousand civilians were killed in Babi Yar: Jews, Ukrainians, Roma, prisoners of war, Soviet underground workers, hostages among the civilian population, patients of psychiatric hospitals and others”.

It was also noted that Ukrainians are again witnessing the devastating consequences of the spread of totalitarian ideology, systematic violation of universally recognized principles and norms of international law.
