As of July 17, 2023, the manufacturer of hygiene and health products Essity has completely withdrawn from the Russian market.

It is known that this company started work on exiting the Russian market as early as April 2022, and throughout the year the company’s assets in Russia were being written off in the amount of approximately SEK 1.7 billion.
“Since the beginning of Russia’s war against Ukraine, we have been fully focused on exiting Russia. Today, we have completed the sale of our business after a long and complex process,” says Essity President and CEO Magnus Groth.
The company’s most popular brands include: TENA, Tork, Actimove, JOBST, Knix, Leukoplast, Libero, Libresse, Lotus, Modibodi, Nosotras, Saba, Tempo, TOM Organic, Vinda and Zewa.
As reported on the official website of Essity, the buyer of the business in Russia was the company “New Technologies”, the main owner of which is Igor Shilov.
