Ukraine has taken the 6th place in the ranking of the top 10 leading countries in tourist flow to Turkey in 2016 showing growth of 47.91%
According to data of Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey the number of Ukrainian tourists who visited Turkey in 2016 is 1,045,043 people. Thus, Ukraine has entered the top 10 leading countries in tourist flow to Turkey showing growth of 47.91% comparing to last year. Ukraine has taken the 6th place and has outstripped the Netherlands, Russia, Azerbaijan and Greece.

Ukrainian tourist flow to the country was steadily increasing throughout the year. In December 2016 the country was visited by 30,828 Ukrainian that is almost 10% more than in December 2015.
Antalya and Stanbul, and Mugla resorts traditionally remain the most popular among the citizens of Ukraine. According to statistics, over a period of January-December 2016 Antalya was visited by 572,700 Ukrainian, which is 80.67% more than in 2015. 289,395 Ukrainian tourists visited Stanbul and 98 109 – Mugla during the year. The growth in these directions was 7% and 117.48% respectively.
Ukrainian tourist flow has demonstrated a record final indicator, which gives a reason to be optimistic forecasting further growth in 2017. Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey will continue to do everything possible to promote cultural and touristic ties between Ukraine and Turkey.
