The Verkhovna Rada dismissed the Minister of Defense, the head of the State Property Fund and the head of the Antimonopoly Committee

On September 5, the Verkhovna Rada approved the dismissal of Oleksiy Reznikov from the position of Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Rustem Umyerov from the position of head of the State Property Fund, and Olga Pishchansk from the position of head of the Antimonopoly Committee.

On Tuesday, September 5, 327 People’s Deputies of Ukraine voted “for” Reznikov’s dismissal, 302 voted “for” Umerov’s dismissal.

According to DW with reference to the message of People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak, it is planned to appoint Rustem Umyerov to the position of Minister of Defense as early as September 6. And Reznikov will be appointed ambassador to Great Britain.

Olga Pishchanska submitted her resignation on September 5. On the same day, the parliament agreed to dismiss the head of the Antimonopoly Committee. 306 legislators voted for it.

As Radio Svoboda notes, Zheleznyak said that during Pishchanska’s report, he asked her whether she was offered to replace Umerov at the head of the State Property Fund. She did not deny or confirm this assumption.
